AES NCC wins Champion of UACDC 2015!

In the morning, we gathered at the National stadium and registered for  the ‘UACDC 2015 URBAN ADVENTURE’ competition. The head officer led us to the commencement of the race. We proceed to the first station and were instructed to blindfold one of the team members. We have to slowly guide him to the answers based on steps on the ground that was placed on. Five questions were asked by the instructor of each station present. We had to answer all of the questions correctly. 50 points were to be achieved before moving on to the second next station.

At the second station, the challenge was to use the fire extinguisher to put out the fire on the ground. For the third station, we reach out for the fire hose and make sure the two sides to the fire hose were straightened before we fold up the fire hose back neatly. Furthermore, for the fourth station, we had to set up a tent and it was a success. Lastly, for the fifth station, we performed cardiovascular pulmonary resuscitation on a mannequin. After that, a public guest was brought to be taught on how to perform a correct CPR.

Throughout all the activities we did, it was all a success and we had many useful and meaningful takeaways for that day.  For me, the station that I loved most was the rock climbing part as it was most mind boggling and fun part of it all. It was a really good day and I would certainly recommend my juniors to participate for next year’s event again. During the prize presentation, it was announced that we won the championship for the open category 2015. It was an achievement that was commendable for my entire team and me. Lastly, I will like to thank my team member name     Ren Jie , Virgil ,Janzen and team leader Khair. We are so proud to be an AES NCC Sea cadets, I want to give thanks to my teachers who have helped us too. We had a small celebration at Coffeebean Café for our victory, using the vouchers that we won.

It was indeed a proud moment when the medals were presented to us by our prinicipal, in front of the school.
