Routine Order #5

Date: 18 February 2014 (Tuesday)
Time: 1400 (Reporting Time) - 1700 (Dismissal)
Attire: School Uniform
Duty Officer: Mr Yong Kuo Hoong
Duty Cadet Officer: C/OFFR Naldo Chan
Cadets involved: Junior Cadets (Sec 1), Senior Cadets who are not involved in Camp STEEL (Sec 2), Cadet Leaders (Sec 3) and Senior Cadet Leaders (Sec 4/5)
Things to bring: Water Bottle, Pen and Paper
      
Programme

·         This week, we will be going to the National Museum, in view of TDD last week.
·         Please leave your classroom at 1330 for your lunch and meet at the bus bay by 1355.
·         The bus will leave at 1400 sharp. There will be consequences for being late.
·         You will be dismissed directly from the National Museum. Please make your own arrangement to return home from there.
  
Note:  1) All cadets are to hydrate themselves the day before training.
           2) Performance is expected from the cadets during training.

Reminder for NCC CAMP STEEL (18 Feb - 19 Feb 2014)

This reminder is for Senior Cadets who will be going for NCC CAMP STEEL.

Date: 18th Feb (Tue) - 19th Feb (Wed)
Reporting Time: 7.00 am (Tue)
Venue to report: AES Bus Bay (Block B)
Estimated Time to arrive back to AES: 7.00 pm (Wed)

TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY
As the cost of the camp is paid using public funds, only under extenuating circumstances such as urgent private affairs or illnesses, are the cadets excused from attending Camp STEEL, in which case, excuse letters, MCs or other supporting documents MUST be produced.

2. CADET’S HAIRCUT 

Male cadets who have long hair must go for a hair-cut. The bearing and standards of cadets not meeting basic MOE standards could be barred from the camp.

3. ELECTRONIC & IMAGE CAPTURING DEVICES 

All teachers and cadets are reminded that cameras, Lap-tops, PDAs are not permitted in the camp.

4. CAMERA HANDPHONES
All participants are reminded that although Camera Handphones are allowed in camp, photo taking within the camp premises is strictly prohibited and non-compliance will be strictly dealt with. Camera handphones are subjected to random spot-checks by the relevant security personnel.

5. CAMP SECURITY
All teacher and cadets are reminded to bring along their NRIC/ Student Pass when they report for Camp.

6. WATER BOTTLE

All cadets must bring a water-bottle to be kept with them at all times during the Camp. It is important for cadets to hydrate themselves regularly and adequately. Water parades are conducted on a regular basis throughout the duration of the camp.

Total Defence Day 2014

Based on the video, all cadets are to answer the following questions on a piece of foolscap paper, and submit to your level I/Cs by 17th Feb 2014 (Mon). Any level with cadets with failure to do so, will have to bear the consequences.

Questions:
1. What is the theme for this year's Total Defence Day? In your own words, what is your interpretation of this theme?
2. Why is military defence important for Singapore especially?
3. What is MP? State three types of training activities that they undergo. How do they contribute to the defence of Singapore?

Attire: PE Attire
           Bring along your uniform parts that need to be exchanged e.g. Beret, Boots etc.
Duty Officer: Ms Sharlene Chye
Duty Cadet Officer: C/OFFR Naldo Chan
Cadets involved: Junior Cadets, Senior Cadets, Cadet Leaders and Senior Cadet Leaders
Things to bring: Water Bottle, Pen and Paper
      
Programme

Venue for training will be at NCC HQ

         The bus will leave at 2.45 pm sharp. There will be consequences for being late.

Senior cadet leaders who are not involved in training activities will be involved in physical training.
